These wheels came on my recently acquired 2010 V10 which only had 1,400 miles. I am only selling these because I already had a set of HRE's from my previous R8, and also a set of OEM wheels.</span></p><p><span style="color: Gray"></span></p><p><span style="color: Gray">Once I received the car, I could not find any info on these wheels anywhere. I was able to track down the original owner the vehicle, and he was able to give me some info, but not enough to satisfy me. So he was kind enough to put me in contact with the gentlemen from German Motoring out of Miami Florida that was able to get his hands on this set of wheels.</span> <span style="color: Gray"></span></p><p><span style="color: Gray"></span></p><p><span style="color: Gray">Following, is his email in response to a few questions I had on these wheels:</span> </p><p></p><p><strong>Hi Tommy,</strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>I am Peter’s car guy. Those wheels are very unique and only 5 sets were imported to the U.S. The wheels were a very limited edition made by Avus, where they took about 20 sets of wheels made for the 2006 DTM championship and cut them to be 5x112 bolt pattern instead of the center locks. Those are the same wheels used during the 2006 and 2007 DTM championships on the AMG and Audi race cars.</strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>The wheels are collectors’ items and very special. They are made of aluminum alloy and the spokes are cut out on the sides to reduce weight but to maintain strength. </strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>Whoever owns these wheels, own a piece of motorsport history and a set of wheels that have never hit the commercial mainstream. The HREs are Ok, but don’t have the pedigree of the DTM wheels. Here are a couple of pictures of the wheels in action:</strong></p><p></p><p><span style="color: Gray">Now, here are the wheel and tire specs: </span></p><p><span style="color: Gray"></span></p><p><span style="color: Gray">20 X 8.5, and 20 X10.5 Avus Racing DTM wheels (1 0f 5)</span> <span style="color: Gray"></span></p><p><span style="color: Gray">245/30 ZR20, and 295/25 ZR20 Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Approximately 1,000 miles. Tire and tread is ALL there.
