After long delay on the project removing undercoating and redoing it, I'm finally making progress as today I put the car on the rotisserie I build during last week. I should have made triangular supports to go higher, but due to measurement error they are quite low and I might have to make additional bolt on supports.

Finally making some progress, I scraped the undercoating off before I build the rotisserie so I "only" need to grind it clean. Then comes epoxy paint, a new undercoating with body color paint.

This is the most difficult are to clean with power tools.

Honestly, I feel a deep respect, at least for two different aspects:
Apart of the fact I am anything else than talented regarding craftsmanship, I would not even have the patience to be working on such a project rather than simply just driving.

Test fitted my new front brake kit, 18z calipers with TT RS 370mm rotors.

There's tons of clearance without spacers except the one under the rotor which is mandatory.

Ha, ha, meanwhile I think I understand why people put Porsche breaks on the Golf- it is just about saving Money

I already bought both of them, and Porsche definitely was less expensive than Original R32, I am Pretty sure *lol*

Yes, this conversion is cheaper than new original brakes.

But I have to confess that I have bought a brand new original front and rear calipers and brackets and rotors also, so I think I keep them in storage then *lol*

Slowly moving project.
Today I fitted Audi TT fuel tank trims.

Fixed tunnel heat shield as I can't find new one, still need to grind and drill hole and then it goes vapor blasted so it should look like new.

So, quite boring update.

Last weekend I finally clear coated it.

Today I painted brake calipers and rear caliper brackets.

Glass bead blasting more parts to be painted next week, some different brackets and a new pair of wheel bearing housings as I want to paint them with longer lasting paint than they come from the factory.

A long time and no updates, delays after delays, but finally car is drivable again.
Drove it 98km this monday, I'll drive more after next weeks wheel aligment, if all is still good then I'll get inspection done.
Then it goes for a full windows out respray next month.

A year ago I got last parts powder coated and did not do anything until end of june when painted the engine bay.

After engine bay was painted I started to assembling car back together.
