Ich bin richtig Euro Fahrwerk Nachrüstung auf meinen Australischen R32 (wir haben US-Suspension)

Ich brauche die Messung von Mitte Hinterradnabe bis Unterkante des hinteren Kotflügel

Bitte mit vollem Tank.

Ich brauche Messung zum Einrichten der Höhe hinten richtig.

What do you want to adjust if you install the original EU Spec suspension?
Fix height, nothing to adjust !

Hi Tom

You need to set the height of the hub without the springs/wheels installed to tighten the control arm bushes correctly without tension, so I am looking for a standard measurement.

ok I see... Dont have that measures though...
Still common sense should perfectly do it !
Do not believe that your dealer will do that upon measuring... !

Like you say, maybe they can be tigtened back on the ground or up on a ramp, but very difficult to get to outer bolts this way..

The workshop manual describes the procedure as measuring the height beforehand and tightening without the wheels on etc, but we of course do not have this distance with our higher suspension.

I have 37cm written down here from when I took off my US suspension (which is considerably higher than the Euro).

2 cm lower was quoted in original sales brochure, but I don't know if US suspension was raised as well from standard 4-motion.

what I have is 39 for a normal mk4 so +/- -2cm for the R lets me assume it should be around 37... hmmm maybe the documentation is wrong.

if I look at pictures of US spec R's they do not seem higher than EU spec...

Original measures US SPEC

Height 56.1 in 1,424 mm

Ground Clearance 4.2 in 107 mm

As you can see ours are visibly higher than Euro!

I have a UK sales brochure that says "20mm lower than standard Golf" , but I also have an Austrian sales brochure (Prospekt) that says "drei Zentimeter tiefere Sportfahrwerk"!

Hence my confusion.
