AW: Hi from Japan

Thaks for all your replies.
I live in Nagano city, where 1998 winter Olympic games were held.

I think I heard about this forum in the VWVortex forum.
I was watching this forum from sometime ago, but forum policy had changed and I can't view the forum anymore without registering.

So, I have registered.

JoungR32Fahrer Imported cars are not restricted with 180km/h. They can go as fast as they can. But, I believe most German cars are programed not to go faster than 250km/h. All Japanese cars are restricted to 280HP and 180km/h. Recently the law had changed and 280HP restriction is now removed.

beetle333 Sorry, I don't under stand what "NAR version" is. I think the Japanese R32 are just the same as in Germany. The engine ECU has a different number in Japan. The number are same as in Mexico, but I think the mapping is different. My friend has a Mexico map ECU, he says his car is powerful than before.

Some of us are having trouble of the acceleration around 2500-3000rpm.
I saw a topic on the UK forum that there are a post v6 software for the engine ECU. Do you have this issue in Germany?

Here's my ECU data.

Thanks!
No, Japanese R32 is not like NAR R32.
We have Xenon, same firm Euro suspension and others. Front grill cover on both sides are covered. Not like NAR spec which have an extra oil cooler in the right side.
But we don't have sunroofs nor black interior.
We can not choose any interior like cloth seats or gray seats. Just black "leather" only.

Hello KIYO, hello to Japan,

I had to this day the information that the gulf 4 R32 was expelled only in Germany, Austria and in Switzerland by Volkswagen.
Now almost the whole world is represented here.
Really premium!!!
I am inspired, and all that about www.
Warm welcome.

See you soon

AW: Hi from Japan

Thank you for viewing my web site and comments, editione_one.
There are actually three R32 on my web site fitted with fog lights in the front grill. Two blue R32, and my silver R32.

The red R32 is probably the one I reffered that I want the Tornado Red R32. But we don't have red in Japan.

As I drive through foggy area every week, I needed the fog lights.
In addition, I changed my HID bulbs to the Phillips yellow HID bulbs. I can see things clearly in the rain and in the fog now.

Is that mean that I start in the second gear? I only use the first gear in the traffic jams. Other than that, I start from second gear. That is just because I am not good at shifting gears. If I start from the first gear, trucks and some little japanese cars will leave me behind.
So, I start from the second gear.

MeyeR32 I don't know about the European regulations and laws, but I think they are sold in Europe, too. Because they are made by Philips (Netherlands).
Here's a link to online shops.

Here's a link to a Japanese product page. The Product number is 85122YX.

AW: Hi from Japan

Great! Thanks KIYO.

I´ll try my luck there. ´cause I don´t think that they are available here in Germany.

Thanks for your help.

If I am not lucky there, may I contact you again?

Probably there is a chance of getting them from Japan.

I have a partner in HKG who can probably help me in this matter!

C ya

Ich hab nen Freund in Tokyo. Notfalls kann ich den mal fragen ob er sie Dir schicken kann wenn Du möchtest.

Aber ich glaub nicht das die bei uns zugelassen sind
Glad you have a friend in Japan.

In the Japanese website of Philips, it says it is ECE approved.

Do you know ECE? I don't know. It seems there are many types of UN/ECE certification.

Zitat:
RATIONALIZATION OF MOTOR VEHICLE/RECIPROCAL EQUIPMENT TYPE APPROVAL SYSTEMS
Expanding globalization in the automobile industry worldwide is underscoring the need for the more widespread adoption of reciprocal recognition systems, under which certification is mutually recognized between importing and exporting countries or regions. Meanwhile, the UN/ECE World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (also known as WP29) is making steady progress towards the establishment of global technical regulations (GTRs) focusing on vehicle safety and environmental standards. In 1998 the Japanese government officially acceded to the UN/ECE 1958 Agreement, under which each signatory government reciprocally recognizes certifications of vehicle structure and equipment issued by all the other signatory countries. It also introduced the Vehicle Equipment Type Approval System, which specifically addresses the expanding common use of equipment in vehicle manufacturing. This system not only allows equipment and parts that have been certified by 1958 Agreement co-signatory countries to be exempted from undergoing certification procedures in Japan, but furthermore does not require them to be inspected again if they are used on other models.
